AWAKENING

Upon our spirit entrance dwells

The miracle of human shells

We’re quick to start our lifelong race

A maze of lessons forms our space

Maturing visions adding grace

Whence love and children increase pride

And bring more purpose, widen stride

But tougher lessons increase pace

And goals dissolve without a trace

As parents bringing in new life

Our hope for better than our strife

While through tomorrow flies ten years

Our dreams, they blur through massive leers

The busy days speed by for naught

Whilst our children’s lives, distraught

When looking back on comfort’s shell

We’ve only grasped at hoaxes’ spell

It’s not each daily bump and grind

Or money pressure on our mind

But looking back at life’s rewind

And seeing now, more souls unkind

**********

“Surely God would not have created such a being as man, with an ability to grasp the infinite, to exist only for a day!

No, no, man was made for immortality.”

Abraham Lincoln

The portrait of Soul’s Essence

Is captured in The Declaration of Independence

Contemplating its vastness cultivates vision

Souls’ evolution comes from vision,

Not hindsight and containment
